Bike Trails in Aruba

For those of us who want a holiday destination in the Caribbean that leaves incredible unforgettable memories, Aruba is one of the best places to consider. The island has excellent accommodations which include top-rated five-star hotels and unrivaled resorts. Many people who have visited Aruba describe it as the home for every fun and exciting thing they have ever dreamt about.

Aruba is located below the hurricane belt in the southern Caribbean, with 82-degree days throughout the year. Its low humidity and refreshing trade winds make it the destination of choice amongst the Caribbean islands. The island enjoys amazing sunny days, making it a perfect destination for beach vacations.

Aruba gives its visitors an opportunity to enjoy jeep tours in its rugged coastlines and sun bathing in the white sandy beaches. There are some other fun activities which you can be engaged in including kite surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving.

However, the most interesting activity in the island is mountain biking. Cycling enthusiasts get the chance to enjoy the biking trails of Aruba’s exotic terrain. Most of the roads in the island are sandy and this makes mountain bikes the only option.

Whether you and your friends choose to buy used road bikes or get new ones, the Aruba bikes trails are a wonder you will love to navigate. The terrain is notably flat, making it easier for cyclists to navigate even if it is their first time visiting the island.

The weather in Aruba is mostly hot and sunny, but the cooling trade winds make the cycling expeditions even more enjoyable. However, tourists are advised to carry plenty of sunscreen lotion to battle the elements and stay relatively fresh through an entire cycling event.

The biking trails in the island give you the opportunity to see the countryside firsthand as you go through the Aruban cunucu. This trail takes you to the Alto Vista Chapel, through the rugged northeast coast, and past the crashing waves.

You will also pass through the Tierra Del Sol Golf club and finish your expedition at the California Lighthouse.  Here, you have the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent view of the high-rise hotel strip. Bikers can descend the cycling trails and cycle past the Arashi, Boca Catalina and Malmok beaches before returning inland again.

Bikes can be rented from Tri Bike in Santa Cruz, Rancho Notorious, Melchor Cycle Rental, Pablito’s Bike Rental, and at companies around the hotel strip.
